Just a short note to let all know that Jim Evans passed away early this year. I had Jim staying with us on our little "Hyde-A-Way" property last November where we chatted contiuously about the past. RIP

Can anyone help with any history of the Yallourn Baseball Club? They "lived" on No 5 Oval on Eastern Road. Any photos would be good. I have just created the Group because, until Mark D'Alterio told me last week, I didn't know Yallourn had a baseball club.

I think this team was a means of getting a trip and overnight billeted stay to compete against Nunawading High School. Coincidentally this school has also been demolished.
The two "mascots" in the front row are Billy Devine and Bill Ebbott. I believe we were "very fast runners" or maybe used as lures.
