my name is Bill Wybenga.
I was involved in the Yallourn Little Theatre for some years.
I knew Jim Vincent and ess his wife very well. I was a "cast" member of " I am a camera" The main reason for this part was my " accent" and although I am from Netherlands origin I could assume a German accent!
Jim and Ess had two children Paul and ??
They lived in Maiden Street and I visited them often.
My parents lived in Thomsons Road in Newborough and Jim visited them at times.
The Yallourne Little theatre performed "controversial" plays which were not always appreciated!
We had our "shack" at the "stables" a very cosey environment.
I also was stagemanager. What a great time

Gay ? - Gaynor is Kevin 'Gasher' Gould's wife - My mother ( Marj Brogan) was in the Thespians at this time as well and thinks her maiden name may have been Fairclough.

Dont think the Theatre was ever called the Movie Theatre in the days when the Thespians were in their glory.
Lillian Beck was often the producer for the Thespians, and Austin Lynch, Joyce Sheridan, the Bainbridges, Mr Branson from the UFS dispensary,
Mr Lester, David Sloan and Mr Dudley the father of Rod and Ian were also involved.
Jimmy Evans often took the young man's part and Gay ? the young female lead.

The 'other' theatrical group also used this venue: their productions were more 'advanced' or highbrow?
For example I think they performed 'I am a camera' and some Irish plays with Val Pyers and Jim Dooley in the cast.
Other members included Jim Vincent, Mrs McCasker from Yallourn North, and Val Trainor.
