We had a view over the Ampol service station to Hazelwood. We used to watch for snow on the Jeeralangs during winter. The town service bus used to come by to take me to primary school. The bush across the road was always great to play in; we built several billy carts to race down the big hill there. Across the road from Mrs Dicks shop in Erica St were the Malpasses, Magnusons and Hutchinsons. My sisters worked at Wakefields shop near the kindergarten, opposite Browns.
