I lived out of the township at the Hospital, where my father was the manager. I have only just found out about your association and am thrilled that such a group exists. I was at a meeting in Warragul recently and by way of conversation, I said that I had completed my memoirs (for want of a better word) and did anyone know where I could get them sorted out for printing. I explained that they were mostly of my school years and one of the ladies showed some interest and asked where I had gone to school. I went through my list, as we shifted around quite a lot and when I got to Yallourn High, we found that we were on common ground. Although she said that she would get me on the mailing list, I rang an old school mate and she sent me the newsletter. What a thrill !!. The front page article was by Dorothy Bishop and although she was a year behind me, her husband was in my form. Mr Pyers, Graham Bartle, Miss Catchpole and Mr Ellis are all such familiar names to me. I can remember so many names but can't put a face to many. I have wonderful memories of Yallourn High. The lockers on the verandah, Miss Birt, Mr Wynd, the school sports and the wonderful trip on the train to the Olympic Games. I know I don't have any of the school magazines and only wish I had kept them. No doubt there will be some at the reunion and I will peruse them at leisure. I can't tell you how delighted I am to find your group
