Notes

Office Place was quite a short street that ran between Monash Square and Parkway. There were only five houses in the street, numbered 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. The Pinal sisters lived at #2 during the early 1960's, next door to the Yallourn Theatre. The Huxtables lived at #8, including Ted, his wife and their son Jack. The Kenny family lived at #10 from November 1960 until March 1967. There were four brothers – Albie, Brian, Robert and Peter – who all attended Yallourn High during this time. There was a senior citizens club at either #4 or #6. Across the road from the five houses was the Guest House, which provided accommodation for single workers. It ran the full length of the street. Diagonally opposite 10 Office Place was St Theresa's Church and School. There were also resident nuns housed next to the school. Office Place was ideally located close to the shops, medical centre, high school, primary schools, swimming pool, theatre, library and banks. The houses in Office Place were demolished, along with the theatre, in 1978 or 1979.
