1954 ~ A NEW ERA & CHALLENGE FOR THE BLUES.
YALLOURN FC AGM IN 1954 1954 was one of the most significant seasons in the history of the Yallourn Football Club and the changes brought about by the formation of the new league were to have ramifications far and wide across Gippsland.
At the AGM in late March 1954, the following members of the Yallourn Football Club were elected as office bearers:- President: Vic Johns Vice Presidents: Harry O’Bern, George Lynch, Col Webster Secretary-Treasurer: Tom Hayes

Beautiful garden, very cold despite the heaters, wonderful public spaces for young people. The kindergarten was still operating so some young families about. We bought one of the brick homes and dismantled materials we later used in our farmhouse in Yarragon South. Many of the vacated home gardens had been raided. It was quite common for houses to seem to 'disappear' overnight, carted away by Fowler trucks.
