Ruth spent 17 happy years at 8 Fernhill, from birth to end of High School. We had a productive vegie garden, fruit trees and berry vines in the back and side garden. Bushes and flowers in front. Dad made a rotary clothes line which is now at our holiday house. We had chooks for eggs.
A strong community feeling with the access to quality sporting facilities and a good theatre. Dad (Lyall) went to Yallourn in 1922 so saw the town grow and then go!
